You can’t just eat good food. You’ve got to talk about it too. And you’ve got to talk about it to somebody who understands that kind of food. – Kurt Vonnegut
This quote basically summarizes this blog. Created for the sole purpose of sharing thoughts on food I’ve eaten with people who are passionate about food.
Why “The Foodie Trail”?
Food and travel go hand in hand. If you never travel, you can never truly experience what great food this world has to offer. On the other hand, if you travel and never try the local food, you will never truly understand the culture of the land you are visiting. In my pursuit of food, I often find that it takes me to new places I have never been, like following a trail through the city.
A little more about me
Currently, Hong Kong is my foodie playground. This is where I sleep, eat
and shit. I also nomnomed my way around for a few years in Toronto and Brisbane.
I am not a professional food critic, chef or food expert, just someone who enjoys food. As such, spelling and grammatical errors, blurry photos and/or profane language are to be expected.
I like trying all kinds of different foods, from dodgy street food to Michelin starred fine dining, all-day breakfasts to dessert buffets, century old cafes to hipster bars, I will try and share them all with you here.
A wise man once said “There is no such thing as a free lunch”, unfortunately this applies to me too. All foods shown on this blog are eaten by me and paid for by me. There ain’t no such thing as a free food post.
I come from a science background, so if some of my blog posts read like scientific journal articles, please bear with me, I’m working on it..
So come join me on my foodie trail!
